Obscure Battles is a blog by Jeff Berry where he looks at various actions through history. His approach is to create an accurate topographic map upon which to plot as closely as possible well researched orders of battle. He then discusses the context and narrative of the action with comments on tactical considerations and frequently with suggestions as to how to game the battle.
By no means all the battles are relevant to the Honours of War forum but the following ones from the War of Austrian Succession and Seven Years War have been discussed in recent years. There is obviously a lot of work to make entries on a blog of this kind so posts are irregular. The list is given under the year and month of the post plus which battle is discussed. There is much else besides elsewhere on the blog.
I only found the site recently and have used the information for Lobositz and Blenheim. Fully support thomasmante in recommending it. The detailed maps and battle orders are excellent and the commentary very informative.
