I decided I wanted some tokens posher than tiddlywinks for showing which of my Brigade Commanders was dithering, dependable or dashing. After a bit of casting around I found that Warbases do dome very nice custom acrylic tokens that you can essentially design yourself. The cost is really pretty cheap.

Hi Keith I notice that Colin uses larger flag type markers where the description of the leader faces away from the enemy. Your tokens can be seen by the enemy, does anything turn on this in a battle? Sorry if this sounds a stupid question, but so far I have not yet had a "proper" battle yet! Cheers
No, normally the rating of commanders is an open secret and concealing the ratings has never been part of my game play. Unless you make your command rolls in secret too, the ratings would soon become obvious from your actions on the table when compared to your die rolls.
The grading of my generals is not secret to anyone . I just wanted to produce something different with each individual commander figures/vignette photographed and given their own set of cards, one for each of the gratings. I then decided to add the Austrian flag and Prussian eagle to the backs so they looked a bit more 'Pro'.
I'm doing the same with my Russians, Saxons, various Germans, Hanoverians and English, and the Duchy of Modena
