I asked me why redbox never released matching cavalry with their good sets of british infantry in 1:72.
Perhaps you saw that I'm gaming in 1:72, what is in mm around 24.
Now for hannoverian horse the modells I used were not perfect (cartridgeboxes for example were not at the back of the riders but on their front). A english friend started with a small english force using the old school miniatures from minifigs - many wargamers will know them. Although he had no problems with the normal rank and file figures the officers and flagbearers were somehow odd. And the riders are in my opinion not really better.
Last year I found out, that Lancer Miniatures have a range of british troops for syw.
Now I began to ask me if they look OK along with the modern miniatures from Zvezda. I never found photos of comparisons of the manufacturers in 20mm. Maybe the figures are a lot too small because 1/72-figures are normaly around 24mm high. If some infantrymen are a bit smaller than others it's perhaps not too bad if you don't mix them. But it would look maybe really odd if the horses and riders are a lot too small if you make photos of hand-to-hand-fighting.
I know that we have some gamers in 1:72 in this forum and the british army is very attractive. Therefore I hope to get a little help...
