So, now we have 300 members on this forum. Nice! Welcome to 'talisman' and 'abrahamincok' who were the 300th and 299th members rspectively.
Perhaps I could take this opportunity to encourage the many 'lurkers' (no offence intended) who prefer to keep in the background to step forward with photos, battle reports, comments or suggestions. We would love to hear from you.
And if you haven't seen this stuff, you really should:
The first army I painted was a Classical Greek 25mm one in the 1970's - (we used WRG 4th edition then). I have been to Sparta and it's surprising how 'understated' the modern town is. The few ancient remains provide a very peaceful place to wander around - there's an imposing statue of Leonidas near the entrance if my memory serves me well. I love Greece and the Greek people - it's a travesty of justice that it's one of the poorest European nations when you consider that little nation's contribution to art, politics, mathematics, etc., etc..
Anyway - congratulations Keith on reaching 300 members. Our little band of wargamers - (the Alvechurch Templars in Worcestershire) - still enjoy using your 7YW rules. (My 7YW Brits is my favourite army now.)
