I'm not yet that knowledgeable on this topic. Getting my toy soldiers ready they are all off the sprue and assembled, converted and put into craft organizers but I will be needing flags. This will be my first horse and musket army and most war game infantry units I've seen have one or sometimes two flags. A regimental standard and a colonels flag if my understanding is correct. I have Swedish and Russian great northern war. I think I have the swedes sorted out flag wise but still a little hazy on the russians. is the colonels flag the same as the regimental except on a white field or is it the eagle on a white field. Or am I not even close? Also how much of a stretch would it be to use these gnw swedes for seven years war? The pikes I know would be a dead giveaway but I was under the impression the uniforms were fairly similar. Thinking of getting some Prussians eventually for a bit of a Pomeranian war.
thanks

Not always perfect but sometimes relyable, I use these flags: royalfig.free.fr/index.php?/category/4 Here for example swedish flags for the syw.
For prussian flags, I would recommend the hp of NotByAppointment. nba-sywtemplates.blogspot.de/ But please note: the prussian flags from the GNW and SYW were completely different.
If you have figures in a small scale, you may find flags of your period here: www.warflag.com/flags/select.shtml - for example prussian flags of the War of the Spanish Succession. I would assume that some of These old flags were still in use when Prussia entered the GNW.

Good looking flags on those! I really like the Swedish flags From a design point of view. I've also discovered some images of Saxon flags online and am tempted to paint a few units as saxons mostly because I like the flag:). But they are traditionally Swedish enemies so they would get used alongside my Russians...

I agree. I find the saxon uniforms very nice too.
Although for HoW to play the saxons for example at Fraustadt is a real challenge. I remember reading a book about the saxon army. A saxon General complained that he never served in such an army. Augustus the Strong spend money for chinese porcellain, dozens of Palaces and wanted to increase his army. Too many Projects for a state like Saxony divided in different duchies. The Saxon state had to pay extremely for the elector’s plan to get the polish crown.

I'm not sure what scale figures you are using, or what make. However, Barry Hilton & Clarence Harrison have some really great gear via the League of Augsburg site with Warfare Miniatures - figures and flags for mos of the GNW protagonists - their flags (done by Clarence) are brilliant! Warfare MiniaturesMaverick Models flags are also useful - I am not across the GNW though, but Stuart Wilson, the owner, does have Swedish & Russian ranges. He also has some great Prussian flags in the WSS range, as well as Saxons. maverick ModelsI hope this helps. Cheers, Rohan
