Last Sunday I put on an imaginary Seven Years war game at PAW2018 using my Spencer Smith Miniatures. I played against my mate Rodger, it was a great game that ran for 4 hours. It swung back and forth, with a big cavalry battle on my left wing at the start looking like Rodger had the day but lady luck swung my way and some excellent dice throwing on my part and I won the day.
Here are some photo's of the game, I was busy playing and talking to the public so I never took notes.
A real blast from the past. Great to see them in action and looking as fresh as a daisy.
Indeed! Spencers were featured in Charles Grant, Snr's, The War Game weren't they? Brings back so many memories and probably accounts for much of my attraction to 18th Century wargaming. Lucky that my local library had Featherstone's Naval Wargames and Charles Grant's book. Sometimes wonder why they were there and not in the main town library (was it one of the librarians or one of the local members of the library?).
