Some of you will have seen the review of HoW in Miniature Wargames 391, which was very generous. The latest crop of magazines has further publicity for the rules - another favourable review in Wargames, Soldiers and Strategy 82, and an article by myself in Wargames Illustrated 339 (along with a mention on the cover).
Those who are interested in the rules might find the latter of use - it is a 'Designer's Notes' article, but is not just a copy of the Author's Notes included on this site. That would hardly have been fair on WI. So if you are undecided about buying the rules, or want a bit more background, you might want to check out the article.
Finally, the lovely people at North Star are not only doing unit deals, but are also offering a free 28mm figure of Frederick the Great with every copy bought from them, in a continuation of their pre-order offer.
This is all very positive, and very pleasing for me. To repeat what I have said before, I am most fortunate to have had this opportunity to get my rules published by a company that would not only produce a great product, but make sure that product got noticed.
I read the review in WSS which was extremely positive. I did that 'naughty man in W H Smith' thing, where you don't actually buy the magazine as over 80% of it was WWII and fantasy, neither of which interest me as wargames periods.
