It's one of the worst books I have in my collection. The most interesting thing in the volume are the OOBs. The accounts of the battles don't reflect the most important aspects (strategic considerations etc.) and no details at all. The pictures were fine for me before I learned about the uniforms (you will find many faults as the Austrians are all painted in the SYW-uniforms - for the WAS-battles too and so on...) and a bit more about how to draw illustration. Today the pictures are looking as made by a 16 or 18 years old boy or a dilettante. I think, that I got it, when I was 10 years old and I will Keep it as a memento of my childhood.
Besides the author didn't mentioned why he wrote about this selection of battles. Some battles (like Kay and Freiberg) are not battles of Frederick himself. But the western theater of war of the SYW is not in the book, although there were Prussians too.
