Yes Keith, I know...
I know you would be delighted to see this battle that featured in your blog being played one more time with Post of Honour rules, but I could not resist.
After reading your battle report
I was obsessed to see how this battle will go with Honours of War rules, I am so hooked with them and I feel they have to reveal many unexplored folds.
Besides this, it was a great temptation to test one more of the evergreen C. Grant's scenarios!
So, last Saturday, Miltiades took the Prussians and I, in the absence of Austrians, took the French.
But we followed the orders of battle and troop quality as described in your AAR
I tried in this pic to keep the numbering shown in your own map.
For HoW we had just to group the units in some ad hoc brigades, as follows:
Prussians: (background and looking from left to right, yellow numbering)
First Prussian Bde:
1: 1x Grenadiers (superior)
4: 2x Infantry
6: 1x Frei battalion (inferior)
A: 1x Field artillery
Second Prussian Bde:
2: 3x Infantry
7: 1x Cuirassiers (superior)
3: 2x Grenadiers (superior)
5: 1x Frei Battalion (inferior)
A: 2x Field Artillery
8: 1x Hussars
Total: 16 units
French: (foreground and looking from left to right, red numbering)
7: 1x dismounted Dragoons as light troops
9: 1x Hussars (inferior)
10: 1xDragoons (inferior)
3: 2x Saxon Infantry (inferior)
A: 1x Field Artillery
Brigade du Roi:
2: 4x Infantry
4,5,6: 3x Infantry
A: 1xField Artillery
8: 1x Cuirassiers (superior)
1: 1x Grenadiers (superior)*

Total: 16 units
Table size was 6'x4' giving our 15mm figures ample space to maneuver!
Prussian objective: Destroy the French army or dislodge them from the hills.
French objective: Avoid the above conditions
